BLUSHING BRIDES

I love doing wedding hair, it's such an exciting day in anyone's life. The rush of getting Brides and their wedding party beautified is like no other feeling. It is chaotic, high energy , happy, hopeful and just satisfying knowing you could help make someones amazing day that much more special and beautiful.
WEDDING TIP:  Stay calm, the rush of getting ready can be intense but rest assured the glamor team you hire know what they are doing and will make it easy for you to enjoy the whole process. Schedule a consultation/practice run to make your day smoother.

These are a couple of my Brides.

PRODUCT LOVE

I have been using this product for years...in every hairstyle I do. It's the perfect frizz-fighting, defining polish that gives your hair the most beautiful glow. All you need is a dime size amount spread between palms of hands and apply to damp hair then style as you wish.
I personally start with the ends of the hair and work my way upward. This technique helps ensure the product won't weigh down the roots of your hair. Use your judgment as sometimes for super curly or frizzy hair I like to comb through (using fingers) a pin size drop to hair after style is finished.

THE PONYTAIL

Perfect for spring time a casual girly ponytail. Never under estimate the ponytail. Whether you have the elements against you or are limited on time a ponytail is as glamorous or as casual as you want.

This casual yet classic styles are easy and can be worn from a beach date to a red carpet event. For a bigger statement dress them up with a beautiful barrette, decorated bobby pins or a head band .

SEX AND THE CITY

YIPES !!! Got caught up in hours of a Sex and The City marathon  and  had a little Girl time to myself. I have to say Carrie Bradshaw always had AMAZING hair....kudos!!!

GET GORGEOUS TIP

If there's one hairstyle that is my go to for ANY occasion, be it formal or casual, it would have to be those beautiful beach waves sported by celebrities like Kate Hudson.

I love this style it works for everything, I probably wear it  almost on a daily basis and it usually lasts a good 2 or 3 days. If you have time you can use hot rollers for this look i like to use Conair hot rollers which you can get at any drugstore for a reasonable price. If you don't have time for rollers or to set it before you go to sleep then I recommend using my friend the curling iron. Use a 1 " and 1 1/2" barrel curling iron.
1) Start with clean hair, this is important as oils and build up can weigh hair down and make waves fall.
2) Section hair into 4 sections. Section 1 take a 3 to 4 inch "Mohawk" section on the top of you head to about half down the crown. Section 2 and 3 will be the sides from the front your hair line to about and inch past your ears. Section 4 will be everything behind that on the back of your head.
3) Mist your hair with my fav beach head product "SURF" by bumble and bumble (it smells good too!)
4) Take different size sections of your hair (you can be the judge of how much or how little) wrap hair vertically around curling irons alternating between 2 sizes (1 would work as well if you don't have 2) I start from the nap of my neck to the back of my head then over to the sides up to the Mohawk section last.
5) After your hair has cooled down spray one more time with surf spray and then tousle to break up curls into waves. Spritz with a bit of hairspray to hold.

On a side note don't brush out hair it will only get frizzy...YIKES!! Break curls with fingers for beautiful beach waves!!!

A LITTLE STEVEN TYLER FOR YOUR DAY!

I've mentioned my favorite new hair accessory, well this is a close second. I think we all like to feel a little bit like a Rock Star every now and then, I've discovered these new feather extension very Steven Tyler-esque....So many colors, So many styles, I say we all awaken our inner Rock Star and add a little spice to life with these fun feathers! Celebrities are sporting this style too, from of course Steven Tyler (Rock God) to Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ke$ha and Miley Cyrus.  I say add a little Steven Tyler to your day and find a salon in your area that does these...for help with info please feel free to ask me.

MY FAV' NEW HAIR ACCESSORIES

Talk about hair accessories. I started doing these in my salon a few months ago and just have to share. If you're like me anything sparkly catches your eye. Who wouldn't want hair that twinkles? It's called hair tinsel, is available in over 50 colors and is AMAZING. Hair tinsel is all the rage with celebrities like Beyonce and Whitney Port (from MTV's The City) sporting these blinged  out styles. My personal favorites are the cotton candy pink and electric purple. They come in more subtle colors like champagne, chocolate brown and black to match your color hair if  if you just want to add a little flair. For the more daring my advice is to most definitely try out the wild colors.
